observational haiku
It was nice to have three days with family - including grandchildren (hardly children anymore). Wish we were a bit closer.

Observational haiku/Midnight musings
I have been doing these as a diversion. Started therapy in March to figure out the source of physical symptoms that some doctors think are the result of anxiety and/or depression. Began to think that there may be something to that. My brain has a habit of going into a circular overdrive, the never ending what-if thing. Disaster possibility after disaster possibility. I am trying to cut it off when the thoughts first get started. I have found that identifying the issue as precisely as I can helps put it to rest. Thus, observational haiku. And in the middle of the night - midnight musings.
The haiku is usually attached to a photo - sort of see something, say something '-) When I wake in the middle of the night with my mind spinning, I try to ID and write down what is bothering me. Either way, the haiku format, 5-7-5 seems to be best for me. Limit the detail, focus as precisely as possible.
I have been posting to Facebook but maybe I should put the more personal somewhere less public.
Midnight musings Saturday
1. Borrowing trouble,
assuming change is bad.
Find the positive.
2. I'm a worry wart.
If you seek it, it will come,
to borrow a phrase.
